Hatt Barn

Lichen Studio is working with Millar + Howard Workshop and the Neston Park Estate on the restoration of Hatt Barn, a historic agricultural building, located in near the village of Box in Wiltshire.

The existing Grade II listed farm buildings will be returned to their former glory by converting the use to a wedding and events venue. The landscape design will achieve several key objectives;

• Creating an arrival sequence and experience for visitors.
• Green infrastructure & landscape connectivity, contributing to biodiversity gains.
• Curating character areas across the masterplan.
• Revealing the site’s heritage by creating a relationship between built form & landscape
• Prospect & Refuge – Create a sense of shelter & maximise views over the Avon Valley to the south.
